Jody Hice warning

THIS IS URGENT VOTER INFORMATION. YOU SHOULD READ THE ISSUE POSITIONS OF JODY HICE. This is the man the Republicans have nominated for Congress for the 10th District of Georgia.
JODY HICE WANTS TO TAKE AWAY OUR RIGHT TO ELECT OUR OWN U.S. SENATORS:“The Seventeenth Amendment should be repealed. As another attempt to curb state rights, the Seventeenth was ratified in 1913, allowing citizens to directly elect Senators rather than the initial constitutional plan, which called for Senators to be appointed by their various state legislatures. (Page 175,“Now or Never,”by Jody Hice)
JODY HICE BELIEVES STATES CAN DECLARE FEDERAL LAW NULL AND VOID:“Most discussions of the Tenth Amendment centers around using the state legislature enforcing (The Tenth Amendment) when the Supreme Court fails to do so. In that situation the state legislature to enforce it when the Supreme Court fails to do so. In that situation, the state legislature declares a (federal) law null and void within the state’s borders.” (Page 204,“Now or Never,”by Jody Hice)
JODY HICE ON THE CIVIL WAR: Unfortunately, the Civil War drastically altered the constitutional view of states’rights. Although the technical reasons for the War are still being debated, there is no doubt that tensions between the North and the South started shortly after the Revolution....And of course, there was the horrendous debate over slavery, which was considered the nucleus of Southern economy.... No doubt. Lincoln was in a very difficult position and from his perspective; the only way to salvage the nation was to expand government powers over individual states. Morally, his decision appeared reasonable; slavery needed to be addressed. (Page 205,“Now or Never, by Jody Hice”)
JODY HICE BELIEVES THE GENERAL PUBLIC SHOULD OWN HIGH TECH MILITARY WEAPONRY TO PROTECT ITSELF FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT: “Advanced military and law enforcement weaponry, along with legislative and judicial workings to outlaw certain weapons from public possession, make for an unbalanced equivalent. As things currently stand, both state and federal governments are armed with an unnumbered amount of high-tech weapons and surveillance equipment, while the general public is only allowed BB guns by comparison. Unfortunately we are witnessing the militarization of federal government and their willingness to use unconstitutional and unchecked power to coerce submission. As Americans, are we now required to bow before our federal and state government and yield unquestioning obedience and submission? Increasingly law enforcement on every level of local, state and federal government is looking more militaristic. In fact, their uniforms, training, weapons and tactics are becoming more intimidating with
an increasing display of strong-armed tactics than ever before.”(All quotes taken from “Now or Never”by Jody Hice Chapter 7‘The Rise of America’s Police State’)

HICE POSITIONS CONTINUED FROM OTHER SIDE
JODY HICE ON WOMEN ENTERING POLITICS “I see nothing wrong with it as long as she is acting within the authority of her husband.”(2004 Athens Banner Herald Article)
JODY HICE OPPOSES ABORTION EVEN FOR RAPE AND INCEST VICTIMS AND WOMEN CARRYING SEVERELY DEFORMED FETUSES. “How many times have we denounced the murderous acts of people like Hitler? Most certainly,
his Actions and similar ones by other political leaders should be vehemently condemned! Yet,
we so easily overlook the genocide that has been committed within our own country. Our murderous dealings are much worse than Hitler’s six million Jews or Mussolini’s three hundred thousand. The genocide in America is inexcusable! It is worse than genocide. We are guilty
of eugenics! Abortion is clearly unconstitutional. Multiple states are seeking a personhood amendment with Mississippi leading the charge. It is my belief that with steadfast resolve and uncompromising convictions we will see the overturning of Roe v Wade. W hat a day that will be.The time is now or never. Let’s go for it.

JODY HICE ENDORSES CRIMINAL PENALTIES FOR BEING GAY AND COMPARES GAY MARRIAGE TO INCEST, BESTIALITY, AND ADULTS HAVING SEX WITH CHILDREN: With no precedent whatsoever and with an attitude set on vacating the Bowers decision, the Court determined that homosexual sodomy is a fundamental right with full protection under the U.S. Constitution. There is no doubt this was
a massive departure from American jurisprudence and it transmitted indescribable damage to marriage as well as the culture as a whole. For instance an individual cannot marry someone who is already married, even if he really‘loves’her. Similarly a person who is married cannot find a third person to marry. The concept of ‘love’is not the issue when it comes to marriage! People love all kinds of other people and things, but that does not grant permission for marriage. It is illegal to marry a child or a sibling. It is illegal to marry a pet, which many people love so dearly. So, it is fair to say that marriage is not simply about two people who love each other. Some ask the question,“How does same sex-‘marriage’threaten your marriage?” The answer is similar to asking,“How does a trashy neighborhood affect you?”(Quotes from “Now or Never” by Jody Hice Chapter 3 – Marriage: It’s Not About Love)
JODY HICE ON HATE CRIMES There is no significant national problem of unfairness or harm against the gay and lesbian community. In fact, in many ways they already enjoy more rights and freedoms than otherAmericans.”(Page 83 –“Now or Never,”by Jody Hice)
JODY HICE ON PUBLIC EDUCATION “The public school system has miserably failed, and there are at least three glaring reasons for its failure. 1.) It is a monopoly that is forced upon tax payers; 2.) It is based on centralized decision-making from Washington D.C. (the Department of Education should be eradicated!); and 3) schools have become centers of indoctrination and social engineering through the abusive era of political correctness.’(Page 140 –“Now or Never,”by Jody Hice)
