Sheriff Berry shows why we have re-elected him time and time again in Oconee County in response to Ferguson

Oconee County is a long way from Missouri, and I am not there. However, popping gas on a film crew and then taking down their unattended camera equipment in the name of "keeping them safe" seems a bit over the @#*& top to me. My position on the media is that if they want to get in the middle of a riot, then more power to them. I don't accept responsibility for keeping them safe. I also don't feel it is my duty to tear gas them in the name of keeping them safe. Our profession as law enforcement officers has got to do a better job in dealing with the media and the public.
